The Anniversary We Will Never Forget...Happy 5 Years!

This year marked our 5 year anniversary!! Hard to believe, I know!! The years have gone by so fast, especially this past year!

So as most of you know and/or experienced, we got dumped on by snow on the 4th. This really messed up my anniversary plan! Tommy and I both worked that day and Tommy worked the next day (our anniversary) but I didn't. So I was planning on surprising him with a stay at the Black Swan Inn in Poky after he got off work, but thanks to the weather, after he came and dug me out of the snow at work and we got home (it took an hour to get 3 miles!), I had to tell him my surprise just in case he thought I needed to cancel or didn't want to drive to Poky the next night after he got off work... Thanks a lot mother nature!! But we did end up going the next day, ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse and stayed in the Pirate suite at the Black Swan Inn :)
Oh and I can NOT forget to mention my awesome husband who originally had a surprise plan for me (or so he says) until I told him we had to go to Bear Lake that weekend, but.... he did surprise me with TWO DOZEN ROSES after he dug me out of work the night before our anniversary!!
Don't mind my post 12 hour shift, pushing others and myself out of the snow for 1 1/2 hours face.
But with me holding them you can tell how big the bouquet is!
So Friday morning we did a little shopping before heading for Bear Lake. We were going down for my two cousins joint baby/bridal shower. About 30 minutes from town my sister called me and told me that my other sister had lost her baby, just 6 days away from having him :'( That is why this anniversary will be one we NEVER forget! The one where baby Cashton was stillborn into the arms of our Heavenly Father.

We were so blessed to be down in Bear Lake this weekend so we could be with Tam and Er. We went straight to the hospital when we got into town to see them before they took Tam back for her section. It was unbelievable how strong they were! We were able to go back after Cashton was born and meet him. He was so precious!

They next day I ran out to Macs baby and Tylyns bridal shower before going back and spending the rest of the afternoon with Tam.
This is what best friends look like after 23 years!
And I can NOT leave out these adorable photos I got while I was at the shower!
Look at those cute hams!!
Melts my heart!!
Saturday night we went swimming with Jed and Tricia and the kids and then made snow ice cream!! It was so yummy!!
I didn't think about getting a picture until after the fact... but I was so happy it turned out!!
Sunday morning after Jed and Trish left for church we got ready for the day and went down to the hospital for the last time before we had to head home. It was so good to spend some time with Tam and Er, even though we would have preferred it under better circumstances. We were just blessed to be able to be there when they needed love and support the most!
We Love You Guys So Much!!

And that was our 5 year anniversary!
Here's to an eternity more!
