The REAL Spring Break Fun!

I know you are probably all sick of hearing about my spring break, but this is the last post! And probably for awhile too.. nothing much ever happens when I'm in school.

So despite the bad start we got off to, spring break started looking up when we started feeling better. My nephew Briston aka Boom came up to stay with his brother for the week. They hung out and did a lot of fun stuff which I wish we could have done with them, but we did get to hang out a little bit on Wednesday, Casey and I took Boom to jump time. I didn't have as much fun sitting and watching as I would have jumping with them, but they got all hot and sweaty and had fun! Casey and I always have a good time together, Full of laughs!! So my cheeks and jaw were pretty sore from laughing so much and then that night we went to Gerties to eat and so after attempting to eat pizza with my front teeth (because you can't go to Gerties and Not eat pizza), plus all the laughs, my mouth was super sore that night! But like I said, it was fun! (Sorry Care I didn't get any pictures of jump time or Gerties :/ ) And the next night we went to lazer mania and played mini golf and in the arcade.

Black Light Mini Gold
Boom Won, I got 2nd, Tommy 3rd, and Case 4th
Tommy said this could be my kitty..
These pictures are 1000 tickets Casey won with one push of the button on one game!!
I was impressed, the most Tommy and I have ever won on one turn was like 350

So our spring break didn't start off too well, but it ended fun! Now back to school, and starting it of runnin with a 12hr shift at the hospital in the morning! So until next time!.. (who knows when it will be!)

My Spring Break Fun!

So spring break is the whole reason that I started this blog.. and it all started with a little bit of anesthesia!

I was pretty chill after my surgery so my videos aren't that amusing or hilarious to watch, Sorry! There are a few funny things and I cut a lot out to spare you of boring nonsense :)

Spring break is supposed to be an awesome break from school, which it was a break, but minus the awesomeness! Tommy and I had thought about going to Cali, Vegas, or Disneyland for spring break but in the end decided to schedule my wisdom teeth surgery instead and then go to Boise Wednesday and Thursday. Little did we know we would both be spending the whole week on the couch.

I went in Friday for my first surgery, or any kind of medical procedure for that matter, first IV (I was scared because I know how difficult it can be to start an IV and the process of "fishing" for it), first anesthesia (Was I allergic to anything? I didn't know because this was the first time I had had anything! Was I going to have an anaphylactic reaction?) All these questions from being a nursing student started running threw my mind. It was a little nerve racking! Anyways.. It was all fine except I remember looking over when he had my IV in and there was no blood.. Great he missed and will have to do another one! But apparently he didn't miss because the next thing I knew I was floating and laughing aaaaand.. Out!

Ok so enough of the actual surgery... it was the next few days I felt what surgery's all about. I had Hydro to take the pain away but the bad thing was I didn't have much of an appetite and Hydro makes you nauseous if you don't take it with food. So every four hours I would force something down just to take the pain pill. Another thing about anesthesia and pain meds is they plug ya up! So with nothing coming out, and continuing to shove food down.. I was so nauseous! I can't tell you how nauseous I was!! And all day everyday.. before taking the pill and after :( I felt horrible for days! Then to add onto it about four days after my surgery the hydro and ibuprofen together were not cutting the pain.. It. was. miserable! So I finally went back in and got some kind of herb antibiotic packed down in the incision, or somewhere, and needless to say, it feels a lot better!! So I am doing better and off those nasty hydros! I seriously don't understand why people take those for recreation.. they are no fun! And.. I think after this.. morning sickness will be a breeze! ;) So that is how this blog got started.. I had a lot of time on my hands and was feeling like crap, so instead of doing homework (which I Really should have been studying for this next test I have because supposedly it's the hardest :/ ), I started a blog! Just so I could tell you all about my lousy spring break! :)

These ones have a little more funniness in them because I was coming out of it more.

Tommy's Spring Break Fun!

I decided to cut this fabulous spring break post up into three posts or it would be one Looong post, and I don't know about you, but I get bored reading really long posts!

So Tommy's spring break was just as awesome as mine! His started out great, having the weekend of, taking care of his lovely wife.. but then I think it was either Saturday or Sunday night he came down with a fever, chills, aches, and a severe headache. Same old flu signs right? Wrong! I have never seen a fever as high is his, it kept climbing until it reached 103, and at 104 in children and I think about 107 in adults, brain damage starts to occur. :/ Besides that, this fever never broke! He had it for almost two days straight before he went to the Dr. So he was miserable, and I was miserable and our spring break was miserable!

He's cute even when he's sick and doing a breathing treatment!! ;) I'm severely biased though!!

But he finally went to the Dr. and got the diagnosis of what is call Q fever or Query Fever. Its a very rare bacteria that is transmitted by infected sheep, goats, and cows (his being calves), that gives you flu like symptoms but when tested for the flu, comes back negative (which his did exactly that). There is a mild form and a more severe form, and the more severe form can cause damage to you heart, liver, brain, and lungs, luckily Tommy's was caught early enough that the prognosis (i.e. outcome) is good!
The symptoms of Q fever are
-extremely high and prolonged fever
-dry cough
-sever headache
-neck pain
-ab pain
-chills
-N&V (Nausea and vomiting)
-night sweats
And Tommy had every single one of those!

Now to my Twin friends, yes this is the same bacteria the man in Dietrich who became paralyzed had, but no one freak out! Tommy's was caught early and is being treated with antibiotics, so were not going down the "any kind of damage to any kind of organs" path! Lucky for us it is a long recovery so even three days after taking antibiotics he is still having night sweats, fever, cough, headache and neckpain. :( I feel bad for the guy! I hate when he is sick!(and we hear a lot about it all the time,, right ladies? ;) But seriously, I don't blame him this time)

Yikes!! Puffy cheeks got in front of the camera!
This is us.... We are Sick!

So that is how we spent our spring break, and it was great!..

3rd Times a Charm

Well, I'm finally starting a  blog! Again.. for the third time! But third times the charm right?! This time I'm determined to keep it no matter how frustrated I get and want to just delete it! (That's what has happened before) I can't promise there will be much on it that often, especially since I'm in my third semester of nursing school, but hopefully I can find the time to post sometime. I've always wondered about the point of a blog since I keep a journal and since there is Facebook! But something's just aren't Facebook "worthy" I guess. I think people would probably get tired of seeing my life story and tons of pictures always on Facebook so heir go.. a Blog! :) Plus their fun to look at and a much better journal because they have pictures, and I'm not a scrapbooker.. :( so I'll consider this as a scrapbook!

So, I'm betting all of you that are reading this already know Tommy and I and what's happening so far in our lives, but just a recap..
-We got married Jan. 5, 2012, so that makes it a whopping 2 years and almost 3 months that we have had the best times of our lives together!
