"First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage"

Many people find this confusing when I try to explain my half siblings, half sister.. So in case of any confusion I will clarify real quick.. My Mom and her first husband had four kids (my half siblings because I am from a different Dad). They then got divorced and that husband had another daughter (Shi), which is my half-siblings half-sister because they share the same Dad.. So we have no relation, but I just consider her my sister, along with all my other siblings... No "half" needed :)

Ok, so that being said, I just explained because it was that half sister of my half siblings ;) that got married, which brought this whole post about!

Tommy and I were really excited because my siblings were coming up to Twin for the first time to go through the temple with Shi to get her endowment out. They came up the night before to go to her graduation and Tommy and I got to watch the kids! Five of them to be exact :) We took them swimming in the pool of the hotel they were staying at.. we were the cool Aunt and Uncle that night ;)

We sure have cute nieces and nephews!!
As we headed down to the pool in the elevator, a guy riding with us looked at us wide eyed when we got in and said "Wow! You've got a bunch of them!" Haha and Tommy instantly replied with a straight face and voice.. "They're not ours!" Haha! We definitely would have had to start early and not taken anytime in between, having the oldest being 8 and all of them being very close in age! :) It was a good laugh though and I loved Tommy's instant response of ultimately saying.. Heck No! haha We had a good night and did pretty well watching that many kids for not being parents, I'd say! The next morning we went and ate the continental breakfast and swam with everyone again before going to the temple. After the temple we went to Gerties, because you can not come to Twin and not eat at Gerties! And before they left, we went to the falls because once again, you can not come to Twin and not go see the falls!!
It was a fun weekend with the family up in Twin!
This is just a cute picture of one of my nieces taking after her momma, being a hair stylist :)
Yes, she did put that towel around my neck as a cape herself!
The next weekend I went to Utah for the actual marriage of my half-siblings half-sister ;) But sadly this time it was only me, my great husband stayed home to work.. Dang work!

We went up to Utah the day before to Play and for the luncheon. Two of my sisters, one brother in law, two nieces, one nephew and I stopped at Boondocks to party! It was fun driving the go carts, batting in the cages, and playing arcade games all day!

That night after the luncheon we got to the hotel with everyone else at 10pm and swam until 11pm when the pool closed. Except, the father of the bride (if you know him, you will believe this :) ) convinced them to keep it open for what ended up to be about two more hours! So with 5 of us siblings there we had a lot of talking and laughs!

Almost all the nieces and nephews

I Seriously Love my Family!!
It was a great weekend and would have only been better if Tommy could have been there, and was a beautiful wedding!

Base Jumping

School is out!! And it is summer!! I am almost done with nursing school, just one semester left until I graduate! But since school has been out we have been busy and busy enough I haven't had time to post, so now it's catch up time!

I wish this post was about me base jumping, but unfortunately it's not.. Someday!

I have lived in Twin Falls for almost three years now (in August) and have never watched a base jumper actually jump. I see them all the time getting ready to jump as we drive by, but like life is, we are always in a hurry and can't stop to watch. So when I saw on FB that a base jumper/biker dude was going to jump to spread the ashes of a Vietnam Veteran who's dream was always to base jump the Perrine Bridge, I was excited to go watch and finally see a jumper actually jump!

When Case and I got there, there were a bunch of Vietnam Veterans in uniform and a bunch of biker guys also in "uniform" ;) flying flags on their bikes.

After waiting for a long time, and watching another base jumper jump (it was awesome!!), the base jumper finally started walking across the bridge to the middle, where he jumps. It must take the jumpers a long time to get ready to jump because I was holding my phone up, ready to video for a long time and he still wasn't ready so I put it down. I was wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt because I didn't think it was going to be that warm, but standing there got really hot so I rolled my pants up and started to mess around with my shirt deciding to take it off or not (I had an undershirt on!), and some one says there he goes! When they said there he goes, I was thinking he was climbing over the railing getting ready to jump (because that's what the other guy that jumped today did, and he even held on there for a minute leaning off the railing).. So I hurry and stop messing around with my shirt, pick up my phone and try to get it zoomed all the while thinking please don't jump yet, please don't jump yet.. and low and behold my phone was on picture instead of video, so instead of taking a video, I was taking a bunch of random pictures of the canyon trying to figure out what the heck! And all the while I was doing all this, and while I was thinking "there he goes" meant he was climbing over the railing, the jumper had gotten on top of the railing, jumped, done a front flip, spread the ashes and was finishing his fall before I could even look up.. "There he goes" meant.. There he Goes! I was so mad and bummed that I had missed it all!! And I didn't even get a good video, let alone a good picture :( So it was a cool event, if I would have saw it.. :) But at least I can finally say I have watched a base jumper jump!
So besides the bikes, this is the only picture, of anything, that I got! This is when he was walking across the bridge to the middle, to jump. One of the guys took a flag to the middle and flew it while the jumper jumped.. that was pretty awesome!

Gone Fishin'..

Caution: LOTS of fishing pictures in this post!!

If you know my husband and his Dad, you will know that hunting and fishing is what they do best! I was never really a fisherman before I met Tommy. We went every once in a while when I was little but I don't ever recall catching anything! But now that I'm married to him, I'd say I'm a pretty good wife to get up at 5am to go fishing! Not really the thing I would love to be doing at 5am! So in the summer time we go fishing A Lot! Like pretty much everyday that he has off, and even some days after he gets home from work. I've gotten a pretty good hang of it, and it's pretty fun.. when I'm catching fish anyways!

This weekend, we packed the truck and Tommy's Dads boat with all our camping and fishing stuff to go fish CJ in Bruno. I was excited because I love camping.. like real camping.. in a tent! And that's what we were going to do this weekend! We fished Friday evening and then came back, set up camp and roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over a fire (one of the best parts of camping!) When we first got there, I was expecting a nice grassy camping area, but it wasn't at all! It was all rock! We pitched our tent on the only tiny patch of grass there was around! And it was on a slope so all through the night not only did we have rocks in our back the whole night, we were sliding farther and farther down in the tent.. I did not sleep very well at all and it was not very fun :( I guess I'm not as young as I thought and as I used to be!, so next time I'll plan on taking an air mattress :) Saturday morning we got up and went fishing again all day! But it was good weather, so as long as it's nice outside, I have food, and am catching fish.. I'm happy!

At CJ we mainly fish for crappie (pronounced croppy), but also caught a few perch, blue gill, and bass. But crappie are my favorite to fish!!

"I caught you a delicious Bass!"
-Napoleon Dynamite

First catch of the trip! :)

The biggest crappie I have caught,, ever!

The tiniest fish caught

Caught at the same time.. Mines bigger ;)

The biggest bass I have ever caught, except for the one I caught and accidently dropped back in the water before I got a picture :/

Tommy put two hooks on his line and caught two fish.. He's Lucky!

Hope you all enjoyed the loads of fish pictures, that probably all look the same, believe me, before I was a "fisherman" I thought the same thing.. If you've seen one, you've seen them all ;) But I've had a change of heart, and I now can even tell which fish is what!

Lucky for you I probably won't post anymore pictures of fishing (at least not this many) because there are too many trips! But just know that that's what we do all summer.. FISH!
