~Merry Christmas~

Tommy and I usually don't go down to Bear Lake for Christmas because we have worked Christmas since we have been married so we just celebrate here. But this year was a little bit different.

We still worked Christmas Day, but we had Christmas Eve and the weekend of, off! So we were able to go down to Bear Lake Thursday night the 21st and stay until Christmas Eve morning!

I was able to get an appointment with my childhood chiropractor in Soda Springs for Friday morning, which I was SOOO thankful for! For almost a week I had had a pinched sciatic and couldn't bend, lift, roll, squat, exc., and could only sit and walk for a short period of time....so that needed to be fixed! At the first of the week I had tried to get into my chiropractor in Twin but they didn't have anything available until the 2nd week of January! So when Bowman had an opening (several acutally!) for Thursday or Friday, you bet I took that!! He took one look at me and said "What did you do?!" (I don't know!) But I guess my whole pelvis was out of wack or whatever, tilted, "off", whatever he called it.

But anyways!, so that's what I did Friday morning, on the way home from Soda we stopped and visited Tam and Er for a bit, and then headed back in to town to make sugar cookies and icing for the party the next night-the whole reason we came down!

So we came down to decorate sugar cookies for Santa and have a party on Saturday night! But before I get to that, better finish up Friday..... So after making the cookies and icing, we took pizza out to my parents house, ate pizza and gave them their gifts! Buttttt... even before that, I got a snapchat from Lil, Case's wife, in the hospital!! So she was pregnant and due Jan. 5th but apparently something was going on! ;) So long story short, they had to induce her and early the next morning I became an auntie again!! <3
Oh I love "my" babies!!
So these picture's were technically taken on the 23rd, so.... onto Saturday!

Saturday we started the morning off with first waking up to about 8 inches of snow!! There was close to no snow the night before, but it snowed all night! <3

then started the day off right by going to watch Briston play basketball! So much fun to watch him play! That is one of the things I miss most about living far from my family is watching my nieces and nephews do sports! So that was a lot of fun! Plus he's GOOD! So that makes it all the more fun!

Then I headed over to the hospital to see my newest niece, London! <3 (see above) And how absolutely adorable is she?!! After getting some quality baby time in, it was cookie time!

That night we had the cookie decorating party accompanied by dinner-white chicken chili, homemade chicken noodle, and/or loaded baked potato soups, rolls, and crock-pot hot chocolate!
And of course with all the fun we had at thanksgiving time playing the saran wrap game, we had to play it again! We did that instead of white elephant or doing a gift exchange. But it was actually kind of a gift exchange because we all brought $10 worth of good prizes and made the ball with them!
The pictures are kind of blurry, but this time instead of having to put on a turkey hat, we had to put on a cute striped stocking hat with elf ears coming out of it! And then we decorated cookies for Santa, and ended the night by taking some food and cookies down to Case and Lil! <3
The next morning Tommy and I had to leave earlier than our norm to get back to Twin in time to go to his Grandparents for their Christmas Eve party! But before we left we had to go see London one more time!, and help Case take his truck home so he could drive mommy and baby home!

We made it back to Twin early evening and went out to the Grandparents for Christmas Eve dinner (Taco's), gifts, and games!
What a wonderful season!

Merry Christmas!!

~UgLy SwEaTeR pArTy~

We had our annual ugly sweater party on Saturday night {12/9} at Jake and Blaike's house and had sooo much fun eating, laughing, playing games and exchanging white elephant gifts!

My sweater this year had cats in stockings on it! And then I taped pictures of my own cats on it! :D And you'll have to excuse the picture-it's not a very good one (of me!), after the party Tommy and I stayed and watched the NFR, so the picture was taken at about midnight!
And the white elephant gift I got was pretty fitting as well! ;)
And Tommy got a framed picture of Jake (to put on his nightstand ;) )

And for your enjoyment..... this absolutely ADORABLE picture from a few days previous!
OH MY HEART!!

Merry Christmas!!

Bass Banquet

So when your husband is in a bass club, you get to go to the bass banquet at the end of the year! :)

Sunday night {12/3} we went to the bass banquet for Tommy's bass club at the Blue Lakes Country Club! Fancy, I know!!

They serve us dinner (prime rib and ham) and then hand out awards from the years fishing tournaments.
Tommy getting his award from the club president for winning Rookie of the Year! <3
I thought the story the president told was kinda cool. He told how Tommy got into bass fishing.... He was was trying to figure out bass fishing at Dierkes and just wasn’t having any luck or catching anything, so he spent hours watching bass fishing shows, learning and teaching himself, bought a little "boat", and worked his butt off practicing! And ended up being the 3rd place team with his Dad in the club this year!
Rookie of the Year!
Tommy and Ted getting their 3rd place plaque

What a lucky guy!....his wife let's him fish so much! ;)

He also won tons of raffle prizes throughout the party and then at the end of the party won the big raffle prize-a new pole!! He IS a lucky guy!!

THANKSGIVING

This year was my families year for Thanksgiving! I was so stoked! I went down Wedneseday and didn't come home until Sunday, and what made it better was that Tommy came too! He was supposed to work Thanksgiving and was just going to come down when he got off, but he ended up not having to work!! So he got to go down with me and stay the whole time!

I had planned this and looking forward to is clear since the end of summer when I had to request what holidays I had off!

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with all my sisters and brother and my Mom and Dad! Such good food!! (The best part!! ;) ) And such great company!! (I meant to get a family picture but forgot until a few had left :/ ).
Jed and Tricia's boys planned minute to win it games we played
Moving balls from one bowl to another only using our mouths and a spoon :)
Just the cutest picture!! <3
Playing the game when you have to get a cookie from your forehead to you mouth!
My tongue wasn't long enough!
And I just laughed the whole time!!
* Also see picture below ;)
And of course Jed had to be tormenting!
Tommy got his in his mouth within seconds! Hence no pictures of him! I ended up giving up!

And then played the saran wrap game Tam made!
You had to put the turkey hat on before you started unwrapped the saran ball!
I never got very far unwrapping! My mom always rolled doubles right as she got the dice!
We had such a great time hanging out with everyone all day! And after everyone left we went swimming at Super 8 :)

Friday morning Jed, Tommy and I took the older kids down to the gym and played basketball while Trish got the Twins ready. After a while at the gym we went and got our hair cut (THANKS TRISH!!) and Jed, Tommy, and Eric took the older boys shooting while Trish, Tam, and I hung out with the young uns' at home! And once again hung out late into the night! (Playing Ticket to Ride of course!!)

Saturday morning Jed and Tommy went snowmobiling with the older two boys
and Trish and I took the Twins and Tally swimming again! And then to the craft fairs! That night I headed out to my Mom's house to get some sewing done before root beer floats for my sisters birthday! And another late night of Ticket to Ride and 31... so worth it though!!

We headed back home Sunday after stopping by to see Tam and Er one last time, and then home it was to get caught up on some sleep for work the next couple days!! ;)
We love spending time with family! Thanks for having us and see you all in a month!! <3

And Happy Thanksgiving 2017 from Us!
