Sooo... We're Building a House!!

So, since we only have about 30 days until we close on our house.... guess I better write a post about it!! 

I have been debating on writing posts as we go (building our house) or just posting at the end when it's finished... but I think that will turn into a honking post!! So now that we are almost done building it, haha!!

So guess what guys?! WE ARE BUILDING A HOUSE!! Woot Woot!! We are so super excited!!

So intro into how this all happened, we started looking into buying a house late last year, I don't remember exactly when but anyways I had been watching realtor sites for about 6 months before we got seriously looking and there was like absolutely nothing! The market was so bad! But we finally did find a few that were "ok"... we were always settling in one was or another. After looking at a few houses we found this really cute one down Grandview in Hometown Place. But one of the absolute had to haves was a big enough garage for Tommys boat, so we pulled it over one snowy night (that was a nightmare of a story for another night!) and it didn't fit in the garage! Come to find out all the houses we had looked at and liked "ok" had the same size garage!! So I marked out every single house I had written down.

Well then Tommy got talking to a guy he works with and he was saying how he built and how much it was and all that stuff, so we went and looked at his house one night and fell in love! And... it had an extended bay in the garage big enough for the boat! (and after meeting with the builder and looking at all the house plans, it was the only one that would have a big enough garage... so we kind of had to build that house plan, but that's ok! We liked it!)

So we met with James Ray and talked about building! I think that was in January. He told us they wouldn't be able to start until the ground unfroze a bit because it was froze so deep. Long story short, we chose a lot in Hometown Place 

and they broke ground on March 8 

How I found out they broke ground is a funny story, so I have to tell it! (at least to me it was!) 
So we hadn't taken a picture of our lot with the SOLD sign on it yet because there was a dumpster on the land, and I didn't want that in the picture. So on March 8th I decided just to drive by the back side of the lot real fast and just see if the dumpster is still there. So I was driving down the road on the backside of  our lot, kind of fast :/, and especially when I saw the dumpster still there because I wasn't going to take a picture since it was still there. Well I wasn't paying very good attention because when I had almost missed the turn into the subdivision I saw the big mounds of dirt!! So I stomped on my breaks, skidding and screetching (bad on my tires, I know), barley made the corner! I was so excited!! (the story was a lot funnier in person, I was laughing at the situation all day-especially since there were builders all around to see and hear my little event there)

Anyways so from there we went and checked it out every night to see the progress!

Hello April!!

So this month has been a lot more eventful than last!!

To start off the month, my best friend had her baby!!

Everyone meet McCoy Scott! He is soo precious!!.. The baby.... that guy holding him is pretty adorable too!! ;)

Congrats Jake and Blaike!! We are so happy and excited for you!!

Later on in the month my nephew got married! So I went down to Logan one weekend to be go through the temple with them, and then we went down again the next weekend when they got sealed! It was a pretty special two weekends! However, I wouldn't recommend driving from Twin to Logan, to Bear Lake, back to Twin in one day, especially when you leave BL heading back to Twin at 10pm... we were pretty tired!! But, it was all worth it! Wouldn't have missed it for nothin'!

Congratulations to Casey and Lillian! We love you guys!!

And Tuesday was Tommy's 26th birthday!! We went to Boise for a quick trip to Cabelas the week before and then went to Jakers with Jake, Blaike and McCoy for his birthday dinner! (I think it's a tradition now) ;) And once again... no pictures :( I have seriously been slacking!!!

Well here's to the last two days of April and to getting my act together for the coming months!! Haha

2nd March Post!!/Spring Break!!

I almost forgot about Spring Break that was at the end of March! And went into April, so technically this is an April post... whatev... 

This year was an extra special Spring Break because Tam and Er and the girls came up to visit us! And once again I didn't take many pictures :( But we had a lot of fun!

We went to the falls, of course! Went on Tommy's and my favorite date- La Fiesta and Culvers! Went and showed them our house (post about that coming soon!) and then got the girls ears pierced!

The next day we went fishing and then while Tommy and Eric went rockchuck hunting, Tam and the girls and I went shopping....at Costco haha and then went and got Culvers again, Tilly's request :) 

Tilly was the only one who caught a fish! Good Job Tills!!

After the boys got home we went to dinner at Jakers and then Tommy and Eric were off again to go test their hand in Jackpot and we went skating at skateland..... which by the way is a sketchy place to be on a late Saturday night! Shows the true colors of Twin ;) Came home and ate popcorn while watching Matilda!

It was a party!! 

We were sad to see them go!! We had so much fun this weekend! Thanks for coming up!!

March Post... Mainly Just My Birthday

So I think I have said before that my goal is to do at least one post every month, so I am combining March into one post because apparently I have been lowsy at taking pictures this month, and that's how I remember what we have done during the month and what to blog about-pictures, or my month hasn't been that exciting!

However, I turned 24 this month!! And I worked my birthday.... not sure why I scheduled myself to work that day..?, even though Tommy worked it still would have been funner to stay home all day! But anyways, the day after I celebrated and went snowboarding at Magic Mountain since Tommy had gotten free passes from Chobani. By the way, snowboarding by yourself isn't very much fun! I thought it would be fine because I don't like to wait when boarding, I like to just go fast :/... but it really wasn't that much fun! I would rather wait than go by myself! Anyways it was fun for awhile and the first/last time of the season haha

After Tommy got off work we went out to dinner with Jake and Blaike and then made milkshakes :)

Oh, and I'm just going to add this random picture (from March) in here, because it is absolutely adorable!! These boys love their Uncle Tom!
